Privacy Choices

StrataWrite and StrataRead do not include advertising, tracking, or developer-operated analytics. Your library is stored locally and may sync through your iCloud account. The 4.0 previews add explicit controls for optional AI connections alongside online research lookups.

Open Privacy & AI in either app to review its data flows. Some features depend on the version and platform.

Your Options

• Library content: Export your work and delete library items through the app. Deletions may sync through iCloud.
• AI Connections on Mac: Read access is off by default. Enable it only for applications you choose to connect. Creating or changing content requires separate permission. Connected applications may send requested content to their providers.
• Revoke access: Turn off read access to stop the connection and revoke change access. Close the app to stop its connection, or replace the private address to invalidate existing configurations.
• Built-in AI: Current 4.0 generation uses Apple’s on-device model where available. Siri, Shortcuts, and other Apple services follow your system settings.
• Research lookups: StrataWrite sends bibliographic terms when you start reference lookups. StrataRead may also enrich metadata during import. Metadata and open-access discovery contact outside research services; see the Privacy Policy for details.
• iCloud Data: If iCloud sync is enabled, you can manage or delete this data through Apple’s iCloud settings.
